will be extended from body to body, or if the whole is transferred, it will desert its subject: which is absurd.

150. For the manner in which this might happen cannot even be imagined.

151. Magical attraction does not occur without a body:

152. If the demonic power is separable, it will not be attracted.

153. If it is inseparable, it will not be led away from its subject, which is incorporeal.

154. Furthermore, the attracted power should not even be elemental.

155. For not all wounds are cured in such a way, but only the lightest ones.

156. From a light effect by itself, a weak cause is indicated.

157. Nor are minds, which are free in their action, attracted in such a natural way.

158. There is also no reason why a man would not similarly, or rather, attract a man without any other medium.

159. And if they are attracted by the similar, they will be repelled by the dissimilar.

160. Therefore, no cure will follow.

161. For it is not carried out in a moment, but over a space of time.
