But what do I say much of these: often the hangman, the knacker, or an old woman behind the tile stove is accustomed to lead a great DOCTOR into the school, and to rob him of his title ET original: "ET" likely refers to a play on the Latin conjunction "and" or a shorthand abbreviation used in titles, and to bring him to shame before the people.

These little swarms of bumblebees are described very well by the old rhythms, which read as follows:

The Doctor is the leader of impostors, the standard-bearer of the ointment-seller,
The smoke-maker who blinds, the savage one gnawing through cautery,
The sweaty cleaner, the sweating mediator, the burner,
The warlike one, the ruthless cutter, and the trusting chemist.
The filthy razor-wielder, the sullen exorcist, the faithless
Servant, the tasteless wood-cutter, the unskilled painter,
The Greek interpreter, the rude officer, and one who prostitutes
Drugs to reheated broths, the torturing burner,
The beast, the shouting Stentor with leaden plasters,
The twentieth in order, the vein-slitting quack.

They boast themselves doctors, any idiot, priest,
Jew, monk, actor, barber, crone:
Colleges of flute-players, pharmacists,
Rake-wielders, miller, baker, groom, blacksmith.
