ritual or spiritual and also ethereal, that is, as if heavenly, SALT-WATER; (for there are NOBLE and OTHER STONES, as THIS philosophical DISSOLUTION of the same teaches most obviously, both by sight and taste, in their purest interior: empty, pure, clear, powerful, and effective, both spiritual or volatile, and also fixed SALT: and enough of that!) or, otherwise, into a rather heavy SALT-DIRTY clear LIQUOR, (indeed not, as many might mistakenly imagine, through melting, running out, or flowing away in the fire)
original: "Discas hoc, Physice, à filijs HERMETIS; nec tu idiota, ob crassam ignorantiam tuam, confestim pronunties LAPIDEM materiam vacuam, inanẽ & sterilem: noli, quæso, tam impudenter reprobare eum, quem internè nondum noveras."
translation: Learn this, natural philosopher, from the children of HERMES; and do not you, as an idiot, on account of your gross ignorance, immediately pronounce the STONE to be a hollow, void, and sterile matter: do not, I pray, so impudently reject that which you have not yet known internally.
Learn this, you researcher of nature, from the children of HERMES; and you Bacchantic Sophist and asinine layman, do not speak so quickly according to your malicious envy and gross ignorance that the STONE is a hollow, deaf, dead, and barren matter: Dear one, do not reject it so shamelessly. Learn to recognize it first, in its interior, better. Only then dare to judge.
AQUA water, I lie hidden internally in the STONE, SALEA.
