THREE QUESTIONS.

According to the secretest and highest path of DISSOLUTION and PREPARATION of PURIFICATION, the Philosopher also makes, out of the hardest STONE, in a truly Spagyric manner, spring forth and brings forth a fountain of LIVING WATER; yes, a WATER of LIFE, in the Chemical laboratory! THUS he tears apart the ROCKS, and strikes them wisely, so that the WATER flows out! THUS he turns the ROCKS into a philosophical WATER SEA, and the STONES into WATER FOUNTAINS! That this is possible and truly philosophical, is taught and testified to also by the ancient Chemical natural-knower and philosopher BELUS, in which he speaks as follows: It is an exceedingly very HIGH

original: "AQVA VIVA VITÆ; è LAPIDE durissimo. ELIXEIR VITÆ!"
translation: LIVING WATER of LIFE; out of the hardest STONE. ELIXIR of LIFE!

original: "FONTINA Sophorum pri-materialis, Universalis atq; Mercurialis: hoc est AQVA à qua sunt OMNIA nata, & ad recipiendas omnes omniū rerum formas apta, PERENNIS ex LAPIDE Sophorum, pri-materiali, Universali atq; Mercuriali: qui ob id & LAPIS MERCURII dictus."
translation: FOUNTAIN of the Wise, primary-material, universal and Mercurial: this is the WATER from which ALL things are born, and apt for receiving all forms of all things, PERENNIAL from the STONE of the Wise, primary-material, universal and Mercurial: which for this reason is also called the STONE of MERCURY.
