lose heart, and find causes for slander, which they pour out upon it; to whom a response is given.

CHAPTER XVIII.

Some, for this same reason, send letters to the Fraternity, in which they desire either to be received into their number, or to be healed of their ailments, or to be visited in a certain place, or to have their questions answered, which, since it does not happen, Behold, another gate opened to slander.

CHAPTER XIX.

There are also others endowed with a deceptive spirit, who use the pretext of the Fraternity for the sake of hunting for money, while they boast that they are of that order and from this carry out their frauds, indeed even their evil deeds, and these, once found to be deceivers, thieves, or robbers, should be visited with the punishments they deserve.

CHAPTER XX.

Some use other deceits intended for their own profit, to whom a response is also given.
