To Your Well-born, Valiant, and Best Self, it is not only well known, but Your Well-born, Valiant, and Best Self also had this little treatise humbly presented to you and delivered to be read by me at the most recent autumn fair held here. You have also looked through the same, liked it, and approved it, and have also otherwise graciously communicated with me in many ways regarding this and other writings by the aforementioned honorable Doctor. Through this, I have been moved all the more to continue with the production of this work. Therefore, I hereby dedicate and ascribe this my minor work to Your Well-born, Valiant, and Best Self with submissive diligence and service. I most submissively and with the highest diligence request of Your Well-born, Valiant, and Best Self that you may graciously accept this my well-intended, most submissive affection and naming of your most praiseworthy name, and that you may also otherwise wish to be and remain my gracious and powerful patron. I am of the submissive confidence that this little work, under the protection and patrocinio patronage/protection of Your Well-born, Valiant, and Best Self, will rest well against the Zoilorum morsus bites of Zoilus (i.e., envious critics/detractors).
