e The great world is the theory and mirror of the little one, as of man.
f The end of philosophy and astronomy is man.
Nature, which is nothing other than a divine Analogia analogy or comparison of this visible world with the little one. For what lies invisibly hidden in man is revealed in the visible anatomy of the entire vniuersi universe. Since the little nature of the little world is invisible and incomprehensible, everything is revealed in the visible and comprehensible anatomy of the great one, as the father or generator. The parents of man are heaven and earth, from which man was created last. And whoever knows and anatomizes these parents has attained the true science of the son, namely man, as the most perfect creature in all his properties or qualities, since in him as the center, all things of the entire universe or general essence flow together, as it were. And this anatomy in his nature is the nature of the entire universe. The outer world is the figure of man; man, however, is the hidden world, as in whom all visible things are invisibly hidden. And when such become visible, they are diseases and not health, since it is the little and not the great world. And this is the true and right knowledge, namely that man should be known microcosmice in the manner of a microcosm, visibly and invisibly, or magically. From the true and proper anatomy of both, namely the great and little world, grows and increases the skill of a healthy and perfect physician, upon which he may finally rely boldly as upon a sure anchor. And when he considers the origin of all diseases, he will find that nature is the medicine, disease, and the Medicus physician or doctor himself for both the great and little world. For the physician must take from nature, since there is nothing in, of, and out of him except solely out of nature. For that same nature instructs and teaches the physician, and not man. And since the matter of man is an extract of the four Elementen elements, it must necessarily follow that he has a community and relationship with all elements and their fruits within himself. Indeed, he cannot even live without them. For what man can do without air, earth, water, and fire or their fruits? Since God the LORD created the elements for the sake of their fruits, to preserve man through their nourishment and cure, they prefigure and represent the entire man, from the knowledge of which the little world will recognize [itself], since they are namely equal to one another, and are the little world. And in the four elements there is one anatomy, one essence, one matter, and outside the form, no difference. Thus, in nature there are altogether fire, air, and earthly water; again, water and heavenly earth; likewise, the earthly, fiery, and airy water; and finally, the airy fire. The airy water and airy earth; thus also four kinds of Mercurij mercury, and four kinds of metal, four kinds of snow, four kinds of amethyst and pearls or precious stones, and thus four of each: one in the firmament or heavenly element; the other in the...
g The knowledge of the four elements shows all diseases of man and the cure of the same.
h The knowledge of medicine is to be sought in the outer world, namely from the Limbo primordial chaotic state, in which the knowledge of man also rests.
