The Astrum essence of ♃ Jupiter colors ♀ Venus/Copper. For the three upper ones are always to be calculated as acting upon the three lower ones, like superior husbands toward inferior wives. The ☉ Sun/Gold remains in the middle. But whoever uses such things in action will achieve that much more, which is to be understood in both particular works. But if one has understood how to make the Astrum Solis essence of the Sun corporeal and fixed, then one can carry such an essence from one place to another afterward, and preserve it like a seed of vegetables, to sow it into all metals where and when one wishes, for which we must rightly thank God first, as the Giver of all good, and afterward the saltpeter, as the monarch of the North. Ovid's friends did not esteem Boreas the North wind and Notus the South wind so highly for nothing, to the point that they begged him to omit it from his verses, which he did not wish to grant, wherefore he can put at the end of his Metamorphoses: original: "Jamque Opus exegi, quod nec Jovis ira, nec ignes, nec potens ferrum, nec edax abolere vetustas." "And now I have completed the work, which neither the wrath of Jupiter, nor fire, nor powerful iron, nor devouring time shall be able to destroy."

Now it remains to be taught how the used saltpeter-water, from which the noble pearls, gold, and precious stones have been fished, is to be used again and applied usefully, so that such fishing costs very little, and yet, besides the best medicine, also yields daily sustenance in abundance.
