The Fourth Part of the Prosperity of Germany

A circular alchemical emblem, known as the V.I.T.R.I.O.L. diagram. The outer border consists of two concentric circles containing the Latin motto "Visit the interior of the earth; by rectification thou shalt find the hidden stone."

In the upper half of the circle's interior:

• A central chalice or mercurial vessel is topped with a crescent moon and a cross.
• To the left is a Sun (Sol) with a face and rays.
• To the right is a Crescent Moon (Luna) with a face.
• Four smaller circles contain the planetary symbols for Mars (♂), Venus (♀), Jupiter (♃), and Saturn (♄).
• Two hands emerge from clouds on the left and right, pointing towards the central arrangement.

In the center:

• A central ring is connected by three chains to objects in the lower half.

In the lower half:

• Three heraldic shields are arranged at the bottom. The left shield depicts a double-headed eagle; the right shield depicts a rampant lion; the bottom-center shield depicts a large seven-pointed star.
• Between the shields are three globes: a textured sphere (possibly representing prima materia or earth), a globus cruciger (orb with a cross), and an armillary sphere.
