For it is the way with Salt that, arriving at Zarpath, that is, a smelting workshop, it achieves so much that not only the oil jars, but also the cellars and barns are abundantly filled, especially when the due Salts meet Elias and Elisha, and Elias, carried up to heaven in a fiery chariot, is separated from Elisha, and sends his doubled spirit back to Elisha, his companion, by which Elisha, strengthened and acquiring more powers than he had before, is rendered fit for greater and more powerful operations.
Among the greatest miracles, however, this shone forth, that after the departure of the Prophet Elisha from this life, another dead man thrown into his tomb was restored to life by the touch of his bones.
Therefore, just as this miracle happened supernaturally through divine power, so also naturally the powers of our Miraculous Salt, strengthened by a double spirit, are able to restore to its former greenness and life—within the space of a quarter of an hour—not only a dead piece of wood turned into charcoal by fire when it is thrown into the tomb, that is, into an earthen pot or crucible, along with the white bones of our white Miraculous Salt; and by that green liquor of woods, the remaining half-dead trees, as well as other similar things, can be restored to greenness, growth, and their original fertility above all other things; but also various dead insects, if they are joined to our miraculous salt, are able to recover their life. And although this may seem new, unheard of, incredible, and a plain paradox to someone, nevertheless it is as true as can be, the true method of which operation I am, God willing, going to describe and demonstrate in the First Century of my General Appendix.
