A. From the Lombards and other peoples of Germany. For which the following makes a case: 1. That the authors of this law are the Lombards. 2. That most words in these Uses are likewise Lombardic and taste of Teutonic origin. 3. That mention of the Lombard Laws is made very often in our texts. Fachinaeus, in the said book 7, cap. 1, where he gathers and refutes the various opinions of the Doctors.
