In various ways, such as the Book of Fiefs, Constitutions of Fiefs, Tenth Compilation: commonly, however, the rubric is written thus: Uses, or Customs of Fiefs: for in the black text the body of the text, as opposed to the rubric/title are contained the customs and institutions of the Milanese concerning military benefits and fiefs, and also the constitutions of the Emperors Lothair, Conrad, Frederick, and Henry.

What is its division?

A. Into only two partial books according to the common and ancient editions; but according to some, into three, and according to the new edition of Jacques Cujas, into five books in total.
