A. Indeed, so that it is placed: In the Uses or Customs of Fiefs, and the title, chapter, and paragraph are subjoined: for example, In the Uses of Fiefs, concerning the prohibition of alienating a fief, by Frederick, c. 1, §. this edictal. Some cite the book, and then the title, and the paragraph by initial words. Others, conversely, express first the §, second the t, and third the book: either by abbreviations or by arithmetical notes.
