knowledge of the hidden natural calcination of the philosophers, which they never want to give of themselves in writing, and intend to reveal to no one but their children and secret disciples, and only by whispering in their ears.

In this discourse I will teach you the imbibing and washing of the philosophers, which are otherwise not common. I will teach you the fiery water, or watery fire, which they use to wash and whiten our virgin earth.

I will show you in what manner the philosophers bathe our precious matter in the flames of the fire, so that they make the same white and alive again: which mystery they never want to write in their books, nor have they taught it to anyone other than their secret cabalistic friends.

Above all this, I will share with you the manner and species and the arrangement of the true unburnable and everlasting fire of the Sages and ancient philosophers.

Finally, I will also teach you how to make the true golden oil of the philosophers without any corrosive quality, which can never be brought into a body, which they use for incineration the process of fixing the tincture into a body and to give their precious matter an ingress, or entry, and a flow.
