This is a Triple-One original: "Triunum." A reference to the alchemical trinity of Salt, Sulfur, and Mercury existing as one substance. Universal original: "Catholicon." In this context, it refers to a "universal" or "all-encompassing" substance rather than the modern religious sense of the word. substance, not a particular thing;
it is not specified, as for instance
either a Metal or Mineral (such as Gold or
Silver), even if they have been
loosened from the bonds of their coagulations,
so that they might flow—that is,
as the unskilled common folk say,
mercurialized, original: "Mercurisata." To "mercurialize" a metal was to reduce it back to a liquid or "primordial" state, which Khunrath considers a lesser, "particular" operation compared to his universal work. or something similar;
or indeed those things which are scarcely
embryonic original: "embryonata." This refers to minerals in their early, unformed state within the earth, before they have matured into specific metals.
