Lead me, O Father, Ruler of the high heavens,
Wherever You have pleased; there is no delay in obeying.
I am here, ready: if I choose otherwise, I shall follow sighing.
Fates lead the willing, but drag the unwilling;
And though it be bad, I shall suffer what it was permitted for the good to suffer.
