Mayer was a famous writer, but I only know the German title of this book.
Michaelis MAYERI, Tractatus de ortu miraculoso, potiùs quam naturali Vegetabilium, animalium, hominum & supernaturalium quorumdam Treatise on the miraculous origin, rather than the natural, of vegetables, animals, men, and certain supernatural things, in-8°.
— Ejusdem By the same author, Verum Inventum True Invention, in-8°. Frankfurt. 1639. I do not know if these treatises are different from those I announced in the Catalogue. I put them here anyway so that it is not said that I omitted them.
Curiosa Filosofia, y tesoro de Maravillas de la Naturalezza, examinadas en varias quæstiones naturales Curious Philosophy and Treasure of Wonders of Nature, examined in various natural questions, by Juan Eusebio de Nuremberg, in-8°. in Barcelona. 1644. There have been several other editions of this book, and this author, who was a Jesuit, worked on other more important subjects.
Joh. Gottofr. MERRHEIM, Discursus curiosi, circa Chymiam-Hermeticam, Philosophiam, Physicam, Medicinam & alias Scientias Curious Discourses concerning Hermetic Chemistry, Philosophy, Physics, Medicine and other Sciences, months January, February, March, April 1708, in-8°. Leipzig. In German. I do not know if this kind of journal has continued, but nothing would be more useful than such a work to know the progress of chemistry. This is also what the famous Mr. Stahl Likely a typographical error for the chemist Georg Ernst Stahl. has done.
Maria MEURDRACK, Lumiére de la Chimie Light of Chemistry, in-12. Frankfurt. 1712. In German.
