ON THE DEFINITION OF NUMISMATIC SCIENCE, ITS UTILITY, PRINCIPAL AUTHORS, THE TREASURIES OF EUROPE, ESPECIALLY GERMANY, AND THE PARTS OF THIS TREATISE.

The nummaria coin-related or numismatic science contains the knowledge of coins, both ancient and modern, and considers them according to their origin and progress, age, nations, material, size, types, rarity, and other circumstances.

Moreover, this kind of study is not only jucundum & delectabile pleasant and delightful, but also exceptionally fructuosum & utile fruitful and useful: illuminating and clarifying Philology, all of History, Chronology, Geography, Genealogy, Rites and Antiquities, and indeed other kinds of studies.
