Whoever desires to know the many authors who have illustrated numismatic matters, or a special type of coin, or individual coins in their writings, should consult the writers who have reviewed them:
I. ANSELM BANDURI original: "ANSELM. BANDURIUM" in the Numismatic Library, or the authors who have written on numismatic matters, reprinted with notes and indices, edited by JO. ALB. FABRICIUS. Hamburg, 1719, quarto.
II. FRANCISC. ERN. BRÜCKMANN original: "FRANCISC. ERN. BRÜCKMANNUM" in the Numismatic Library, published Wolfenbüttel, 1729, octavo.
III. RUDOLPH. CAPELLUS original: "RUDOLPH. CAPELLUM" in the index of numismatists, joined with his own Luederian Coin Collection, published Hamburg, 1678, folio.
IV. ZACHAR. GOETZIUS original: "ZACHAR. GOETZIUM" in his 20 dissertations on coins, published Wittenberg, 1716, octavo, beginning at page 19 and following.
V. LÆVINUS HULSIUS original: "LÆVINUM HULSIUM" in the book on Roman Imperial coins, Frankfurt, 1603, octavo, from which ANDR. SCHOTTUS compiled his catalog of authors, joined to the dialogues of ANTONIUS AUGUSTINUS published by him at Antwerp, 1617, folio.
VI. PHILIPPUS LABBE original: "PHILIPPUM LABBE" in the Numismatic Library, which appeared several times with his Library of Libraries at Paris, Rouen, and Geneva.
