Major Elucidator or Enlightenment on the Reformation of the Whole Wide World

others, from now on not only more
diligently to read, but also with other eyes
to behold than has happened until now,
or at the very least, to cease their mocking
talk and perverse judgment concerning it.
And so that he might be even more
moved to this, I will, for his benefit,
in this preface, introduce testimonies of the philosophers
regarding three points:

1. That it is not new, but
   at all times customary among the philosophers
   that they have described the
   high secret of the blessed stone, and
   made it known to the world, etc.
2. Concerning the virtues and worthiness
   of the stone of the philosophers.
3. How one comes to the knowledge of the
   blessed stone, and to which people this
   secret is given, etc.
