Cephaleus, printed at Strasbourg. Postellus proves it from the mystical explanation of the Holy Scripture, Brocardus from reason, and Brightmann from the explanation of the mysteries and the language. But it will be objected that these are human fabrications and interpretations, and it will be demanded that the plain word and the clear sense of the Holy Scripture be shown, that such a reformation of all things, as the Rosicrucians posit, will actually occur. This is also fair. For since the Lord speaks no word without revealing his mysteries to his servants the prophets (Amos 3:7), the most certain proofs of future things can be taken from the writings of the prophets, including the future restoration or improvement of all things, and what is involved in it. It will, however, consist primarily of three parts. Firstly, in the expulsion of the godless, so that man does not set himself up to be exalted on earth (Ps. 10:18), but that faith in Christ and the true church be spread throughout the whole world, and the Jews and apostate Israelites be converted to faith in Christ, so that all people may praise the Lord. Secondly, in the abundance and multitude of all things. Thirdly, in all beautiful virtues of the soul, and in excep-
