Doctor of Medicine; original: "Arzneiwissenschaft Doctor." Samuel Foart Simmons (1750–1813) was a prominent British physician and editor of the London Medical Journal. He famously served as one of the physicians to King George III during the King's periods of mental illness. Attending Physician of St. Luke’s Hospital and the Westminster General Infirmary in London; Member of the Royal Society of London; of the Royal Medical Academy of Madrid; of the Royal Medical Societies of Paris and Edinburgh; Honorary Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Lorraine original: "Lothringen." and the Literary and Philosophical Society of Manchester; Correspondent of the Royal Academy of Sciences in Paris and Montpellier, etc. etc. etc.
