Murr, Christoph Gottlieb von · 1803

(died 1622 in Marburg) Disquisitio de Helia Artium Disquisition on the Elias of the Arts, in 8vo. This was unknown to Dr. Semler in his Collections on the History of the Rosicrucians, Part I, p. 55 et seq.
Bened. Figulus translates Lucernam Salis Philosophorum The Lamp of the Salt of the Philosophers, which was already printed in 1571, and has the conversation of the spirit Mercurius with a philosopher (with Albertus Bayr) printed in German. He dedicates the Thesaurinellam chymicam tripartitam The Tripartite Chemical Treasure Chest to Emperor Rudolph II. Basel, 4to.
The third part of this Thesaurinella, or Heavenly Golden Treasure Chest, finally comes out, in which the Elias Artista Elias the Artist is discussed, whose entire invention is likely abstracted from the opinion of some Church Fathers that Enoch and Elias will return to the world again. See Observatt. Halens. Halle Observations, Vol. VI, 1702, page 183.
Semler places the beginning of the actual German Rosicrucians in the year 1608.
