An ornate woodcut printer's device. It features a central grotesque mask or human face with a radiating, shell-like headdress. The mask is framed by elaborate scrolling flourishes and cornucopias. Two lion heads are positioned at the top corners, facing outwards. At the bottom, two decorative tassels hang from the scrollwork on the left and right sides.
