Second Intermezzo.

Hercules, weary from his glorious deeds, lies down to rest with two of his companions beneath a cliff. The four Seasons arrive to honor him and applaud his glories. Then, his father Jupiter sends an Eagle with a crown in its talons to crown him. As a sign of joy, the four Seasons weave a dance with the companions of Hercules, who dances a solo at the end. Meanwhile, four Arlecchini Harlequins and four Pulcinelli clownish characters arrive in the woods and celebrate the exaltation of Hercules with their own dances. A Cola a stock character often depicted as a simpleton concludes the Intermezzo with a solo dance.
