But let it suffice to have said these things about the Anthropologium of our Magnus Hundt, which seems to have lain in the oblivion of many, and hence to have been counted among the rarer books, because, as PLATNER correctly judges, similar writings of those dark times in the great light of letters which we enjoy today are sought by few students of literary matters, and by the rest, hastening to more perfect things, are rightfully neglected.

That rare books are not always the best, or worthy of being read, but sometimes even a certain useless book becomes valued for rarity alone, is correctly judged by the most famous VOGT in Axiom VI. prefixed to his more general Catalog, and many other authors whom he cites feel the same.
