Since the Poetic Work, with the Title: Vertumnus of Vanity original: "Vertumnus Vanitatis", previously published in part by Father Martinus of Saint Bruno, a priest of our Religion, with the faculty of the Superiors, has now been repeatedly and more fully translated into many schemes of meters and is coming to be illustrated with bronze figures: and it has been reviewed again by two of our Priests, who testify that there is nothing in it contrary to sound doctrine and good morals, and that it is indeed replete with erudition worthy of a religious poet; by the tenor of these presents, with power granted by the Very Reverend Father Adolphus of Saint George, our Provost General, I grant the license in the Lord, that it may be brought to light, thus augmented and illustrated, having observed the necessary requirements. In witness of which I have subscribed these, fortified with the usual seal of the Province, at Nicolspurg, Moravia, the 8th of June, 1724.
Bonifacius of Saint Anthony,
Secretary.
