I, Innocentius of Saint Clement, Vice-Provincial Provost in Chief of the Pious Schools throughout Germany, permit the publication in print of the Metric Opuscule (whose title is: Vertumnus of Vanity, illustrated with bronze figures) composed by the study of Martinus of Saint Bruno, a professed priest of our Religion, p.t. pro tempore / for the time being Superior of Rastatt, to Master Joannes Andreas Pfeffel, Engraver of the Imperial Court of His Sacred Caesarean Majesty, of Augsburg; and I cede and communicate to him the right of the Imperial Privilege; so that, even against the will of the author, no one may reprint the said opuscule, nor import it within the borders of the Holy Roman Empire and the Hereditary Provinces of His Sacred Caesarean Majesty, or expose it for sale under the penalty of confiscation and a pecuniary fine expressed therein: And this for the next six years. In witness and faith of which I have affixed and subscribed the Seal of the Province, the 8th day of June, 1724.
