I anoint you as King with the sanctified oil in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The royal choir began the antiphon:
Sadoc the priest and Nathan the prophet anointed Solomon as King in Zion, and walking joyfully, they said: May the King live forever!
Furthermore, the King's palm was anointed, the consecrator using pious words:
May these hands be anointed with sanctified oil, as Kings and prophets were anointed, and as Samuel anointed David as King, etc.
Appropriately among these rites, the memory of the Old Testament is renewed from the sacred code, as this august anointing continues from the institutions of the first church in our world.
