The virtue of this herb is wondrous. If it is gathered when the sun is in the sign of Leo in the month of August, and is then wrapped in a laurel leaf along with a wolf's tooth, and carried upon one's person, then no one can have a voice to speak against the one who carries it, save only for peaceable words.
