God-loving READER.

God-loving Reader, if you will use this little book rightly, and if you are in earnest, you will well perceive its utility. But I wish to warn you, if you are not in earnest, leave the high-worthy names of God (in which the highest holiness is named, stirred, and powerfully moved) untouched, so that they do not kindle the wrath of God (in your soul). For one must not misuse the holy name of God: this little book is only for those who desire to repent, and who are at the beginning of their desire. They will experience on both sides what kind of words are therein, and from what they are born. Herewith, the eternal good and the mercy of God be commended.
