The First Step to Conversion

7. Seventhly / he shall earnestly contemplate the eternal punishment / and pain of the damned / how they shall suffer pain and torment in eternal terror in their (here-made) abominations / and shall never see the land of the saints in eternity / nor be able to obtain any refreshment / as can be seen in the parable of the Rich man. Such shall man earnestly contemplate / and consider / how God has created him in such a beautiful and glorious image (in His likeness) / in which He Himself wishes to dwell: that He created him for His own praise, for His own eternal joy and glory / that he might live in eternal light beside the Holy Angels / with the children of God / in great joy / power and glory / in the song and sound of the harmony / of the Angelic and Divine kingdom of joy: that he should rejoice eternally with the children of God / without having any end: where no evil thoughts could disturb him: also no sorrow nor trouble / nor heat / nor cold: where one knows nothing of night:
