The First Step to Conversion

where also there is no day nor time anymore / but an eternal joy: where soul and body shudder in joys: and they shall rejoice over the infinite wonders and powers / in the beauty of the colors / and elegance of the infinite manifestations in the wisdom of God / upon the new crystalline earth (which shall be like a translucent glass): and how he so willfully goes to squander or waste this for the sake of such a short and vile time / which is nevertheless (in this vanity / in the evil life of the lustful flesh) full of misery / fear / and restlessness / in vain torment: and yet it happens to the godless / as to the pious / since the one must die / just as the other: where then the death of the saints is nothing other than an entrance into eternal rest / and the death of the godless an entrance into eternal unrest.

8. Eighthly / he shall contemplate the course of this world / how everything is nothing other than a play or a comedy / with which he spends his time in restlessness:
