The First Step to Conversion

Furthermore, he shall firmly imagine for himself that God (in Christ Jesus) wishes to hear him and receive him in grace much more than he wishes to come to Him: and that God, in the love of Christ (in the high-valued name of Jesus), cannot will any evil: that in this name there is absolutely no wrathful face, but it is the highest and deepest love and faithfulness, the greatest sweetness or friendliness of the Godhead, in the great name JEHOVAH, which He revealed in our withered or faded humanity in the heavenly part, which in Paradise was withered or extinguished through sin, and which (for that reason) moved Him in His heart, that He might pour His sweet or friendly love into us: so that the wrath of the Father (which was kindled in us) might thereby be extinguished and transformed into love: which all has happened for the sake of the poor sinner, so that he might again obtain an open door of grace.
