This foundation is only carried out so deeply so that those who might contend [or dispute] about it [might] see the true inward foundation, and cease from the strife, and surrender themselves in the simplicity and love of Jesu Christi Jesus Christ: thereby the power of Satan would very quickly be diminished, and the nations would see that the Christians were God's children, if they walked in love. Which I wish from my heart, and to this end this little book is also written.
