This is the very one which Pausanias discusses in the Attica: "After crossing the Ilissus, there is a place called Agrae, and a temple of Artemis Agrotera. They say that Artemis hunted there first, having come from Delos. And for this reason the statue has a bow. But the place is not equally appealing to hear of, but it is a wonder to those who see it: a stadium of white stone. One could best infer its size from this. From above, a mountain above the Ilissus begins from a crescent shape and descends to the river, toward the bank, both straight and double. This, Herodes, a man of Athens, built, and most of the stone from Pentelicus was consumed for the building."
Now let us come to the musical contest, mention of which is in Plutarch, book On Music: "And this is shown by the record of the Panathenaea, the one concerning the musical contest
