your flesh and drank your blood: and have rested in your faith.
Arabic Liturgy: Make my parents, and my ancestors, and my brothers, servants of yours with a good mind, rest, O Lord, in the light of the living, and the dwelling of those who rejoice.
Mass of St. Gregory: When he had made memory of all the saints who pleased God from the beginning: he prays for the departed: Be mindful of our Fathers and Brothers who have fallen asleep in the Orthodox faith: grant that they all may rest with your saints, and with those whose (namely the saints’) names we have commemorated.
Mass of St. Cyril: He commemorates the saints: Be mindful, O Lord, of our Fathers, the saints... who have ministered in the word of truth, in righteousness, give us a part and lot with them... Then for the departed: For whom we intend to pray, and for others, who have fallen asleep and rested in the faith through Christ. Deign, O Lord, to cause that the souls of all of them may rest in the bosom of our holy Fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Cause that they may dwell in a place of greenness, over water of refreshment, in the Paradise of delight, from where pain of heart, and grief, and sighing have fled.
Mass of the Christians among the Indians. He prays to the saints: Let us commemorate the Most Blessed Lady, Mother of the living God... Let us also venerate the memory of the Prophets... Let us also commemorate our Fathers... and all the Doctors, and the Priests who are Doctors of truth. Let us pray that by their prayers the pure truth, and the sincere doctrine which they taught and professed, may be guarded in every holy Church, until the consummation of the age. For the departed: Let us also remember our Fathers and our Brothers, the faithful, who have passed from this age in the Orthodox faith. Let us pray, I say, to the Lord, that He may absolve them, and forgive their sins and transgressions, and make them worthy to rejoice forever with the just and the upright who have obeyed the divine will.
Roman Missal: He prays to the saints: Communicating with, and venerating the memory first of all of the Glorious ever-Virgin Mary, Mother of God... Also of your Blessed Apostles and Martyrs, Peter, etc., by whose merits and prayers grant that we may be defended in all things by the aid of your protection. For the departed: Be mindful also, O Lord, of your servants and handmaidens, who have gone before us with the sign of faith, and sleep in the sleep of peace... Grant, O Lord, to them and to all who rest in Christ, a place of refreshment, light, and peace, we entreat you, through Christ our Lord.
