Others, Jews and Christians of every age, of the older, middle, and more recent periods, have exposed commentaries on scripture to public light, and what some have taught through precepts and rules, these have confirmed through examples and applied to use. These interpreters of the codex of God differ among themselves when we look back at the divine oracles themselves that they explained, and three orders of them can be established, such that those belong to the first who have recounted the universal scripture or most of its books: to the second, those who have commented specifically on the books of the former and latter covenant.
