They encompass the sacred sermons of that time. Finally, more recent homiletic writings are commemorated, both those in which the precepts of sacred oratory are contained, and those in which there are sermons published by Lutherans, Reformed, Arminians, Catholics, and fanatics.

I have reviewed these literary monuments in the same manner that was employed by me in the previous volumes. I have brought forward not only their titles and various editions, but I have also mentioned what their arguments are, at least for the majority of them, and what kind of reputation they possess. However, this is to be understood regarding exegetical, not homiletic, writings.
