MENASSE BEN ISRAEL, whose two editions exist. The prior came to light in Amsterdam, 1635, 4to, in two volumes and commended itself much with the elegance of letters and paper; as well as accuracy; it presents a singular order of the sacred books, since the writings of the former and latter prophets obtained a place after the hagiographa and these were immediately joined to the Pentateuch. JACOB LOMBROSO, under whose auspices the Hebrew Bibles saw the light at Venice, 1639, 4to, provided with grammatical commentaries, taken from the Masora and Rashi.
