A stipple-engraved portrait of Count Samuel Teleki (1739–1822) presented in an oval frame. The subject is depicted with a powdered wig, a lace jabot, and a fur-lined coat. The oval border is inscribed with his formal titles and birth date. Garlands of oak or laurel leaves are draped around the frame, which rests on a rectangular stone pedestal. The pedestal contains a three-line Latin motto. At the base of the pedestal are symbolic objects including an hourglass, a pair of scales, a set of dividers (compass), and leafy branches.
