The Judiciary, having been informed that during the assembly of the Ministers of the Mennonite Community, summoned here from outside [the city], in accordance with the resolution of the City Council of this city dated July 3rd last, great confusion was caused by several persons speaking at once, and no exchange of words was permitted, decides: That the aforementioned ministers shall take their seats in the designated meeting chamber, and they shall hear the opposing parties one before the other, separately in their chamber, and by turns. And that the same parties, to avoid confusion, shall have to comply with and follow the request and order of the aforementioned ministers. And by further resolution of August 3rd, 1661, signed by I. van Nypoort, the following [is ordained].
On penalty of one hundred guilders to be forfeited by anyone who is disobedient, and [furthermore] that the ministers who do not obey this order shall, in addition, be provisionally barred and kept away from preaching and from the pulpit. Authorizing for the execution of these penalties the Officer of this city. Actum [Done] the first of August 1661.
