Newly designed and partially drawn by JULIUS REICHELT, Councilor to the Elector Palatine and Professor of Mathematics in Strasbourg, but finished and issued by NICOLAUS VISSCHER in Amsterdam with the privilege of the States-General of the United Netherlands.

A detailed engraved and hand-colored map of the Holy Roman Empire and surrounding regions, including parts of France, Poland, Hungary, and Italy. Political borders are highlighted with washes of red, yellow, and green. The map depicts rivers, mountain ranges (illustrated as small shaded mounds), and numerous settlements. In the bottom left corner is an elaborate heraldic cartouche featuring the double-headed imperial eagle with a crown, flanked by figures. Above the cartouche are distance scales. A simple compass rose is located in the North Sea ("Das Teutsche Meer").
