A 1563 engraved map of Holland and surrounding regions by Giovanni Francesco Camocio and Paolo Forlani. The map is oriented with West at the top. The "Oceanus Germanicus" (North Sea) occupies the left half, populated by several sailing vessels. A large, ornate cartouche is located on the left side. The land area is densely packed with place names, rivers, and features like the "Mare Australe" (Zuiderzee) which contains a large compass rose. Two heraldic crests are present: the Imperial double-headed eagle in the top left and the lion of Frisia in the top right. A scale bar is at the bottom right.
