custom, also by a special decree and statute of the Apostolic See for all time, to be solemnly venerated on the said day. Therefore, the same predecessor, inclined by the supplications of the aforementioned Duke, by apostolic authority established, decreed, and ordered that the Feast of the Presentation of the same sort: just as the feast of the Assumption, the Visitation, and other feasts of the blessed Mother of God, Mary, mentioned; in the aforementioned lands at the times of the same day by the command of the Apostolic See, by the faithful themselves, should be solemnly celebrated: as is more fully contained in the letters drawn up by us, when the said Pius, our predecessor, had departed from human affairs before his letters regarding these matters could be offered. We, therefore, desiring that the aforementioned Feast be held in due veneration, and that the faithful themselves may be more willingly encouraged to honor it and to serve the same Virgin, so that from this gift they may perceive themselves to be more abundantly refreshed by heavenly grace, trusting in the mercy of almighty God and the authority of His blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, to all who are truly penitent
