we are in this life. Of what person? First, second, and third, because I, you, he, we all must keep this commandment. The Lord also said: original: "Si vis ad vitam ingredi serua mandata." If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments. Let us now clarify the aforesaid.
D The letter "D" likely refers to "Decalogus" or "Deus" as the head of this section. O man, you believe in one God; even the devil believes and it profits him nothing. If you believe in Him truthfully, adore, worship, and honor Him. You break this commandment when you insist upon pleasure.
Second, you must not swear in vain by Him. You break this when you perjure yourself, or swear habitually, or swear doubtingly. Therefore the Lord says, Do not swear at all; but let your word be yes, yes; no, no.
Third, you must celebrate the feasts, namely by frequenting the church, and by insisting upon prayer, reading, or works of mercy. You break this when you give yourself over to the idleness of games, feasting, drunkenness, or non-spiritual conversations. Or when you perform manual labor that is not at all necessary.
Fourth, you shall honor your parents, by obeying them, showing them reverence, and helping them to the best of your ability. You break this when you curse, scorn, or molest them, and disturb them, and do not strive to help them.
