The handwritten label is severely worn and partially illegible.
Francisci Dionysii?
A historical book cover made of dark brown leather, featuring extensive blind-stamped tooling. The central decoration consists of a large geometric diamond or hexagram shape formed by triple-line fillets. Within and around this central design are various stamps, most notably circular medallions depicting a double-headed eagle (Reichsadler), suggesting a connection to the Holy Roman Empire. Other stamps include small squares with stylized floral motifs, fleur-de-lis, and figures. The cover is framed by multiple decorative borders of repeated stamps. On the left side, the spine shows three large raised bands. On the right, two metal clasps remain partially intact, secured with leather straps. A small, rectangular, light-colored paper label with faded handwriting is pasted near the top center of the front cover.
