He gave these precepts to the pastors of the gathering,
And ordered them to be mindful of their duty.
Which whoever does, brings true and greatest goods to all,
Which no age can abolish.
And because he begins the angelic hymn for mortals,
He is truly the angel of God himself on earth.
God does not show Himself only so that He may care for bodies,
But He warns why He wishes us to be preserved.
Indeed, so that He might communicate Himself to us,
And so that breasts full of God may always live.
Then, however, He shines in us, then He fills our breasts,
When the pious mind learns to know the gifts of God.
God is a chaste mind, He wishes to be called upon with a chaste mind,
And He has commanded that prayers have a chaste weight.
