SCHAUER of Zurich has hitherto
printed with his own presses: arranged in such a way that
almost two numbers follow each of the books,
the first of which denotes the year of the Lord,
and the second denotes the format of the book.
A woodcut illustration depicts a tree (likely a frog-bearing tree, a pun on the printer's name Froschauer) with a ribbon wrapped around the trunk bearing the name "CHRISTOPH FROSCHOVERO".
