Here there will be a gentle comfort for the Royal bride, so that a furious enemy may not plunder her. No delay moving forward takes away with eternal steps, or is able to take away, He will always have her: He will always have her, whom no ages have given, but having placed no boundary, He loved her. Why is it a wonder that such a concession of the holy bonds of a chaste marriage loves a chaste God? Nor does He only punish violated beds severely, but He also returns great gifts to the chaste. Nor does the unchanging will of the scripture fail, testifying that the Lord wishes to help the pious. He especially testifies that His blessed name is in those who have learned to live married dignity piously. The holy Patriarchs experienced this, and Abram experienced it; there was no one holier than him. Tested by the King of Gerar original: "Regis Geraraei" - Abimelech with force and deceit, he did not suffer shameful deeds from him. Indeed, for this foul crime and shameful deed, he took servants, and cattle, and many beasts of burden. These things beget great consolations for all the pious, so that they may learn to bear the yokes of the marriage bed that must be borne. A blessed life must be judged by the law of the holy yoke, just as we are taught the same by a divine voice. When a free age once flourished without sorrows, and there were no harmful damages for the miserable anywhere: yet this type of life (they say) did not please Him who was the greatest author of heaven and earth. He pulled the help of life from the thigh of Adam; He had fashioned a female companion for the man from there. She who was a rib just now, now having put on a beautiful form, has been brought as a protection and glory of life.
